Kai Kurosawa

Kai Kurosawa was born in Japan and picked up his first electric bass at age fifteen. Shortly thereafter, he began experimenting with tap-style guitars (Warr Guitars) and eventually designed his own custom 24-string tap-style instrument called the Beartrax. With his unique tapping technique and rare axe, Kai is frequently invited to lecture at seminars/clinics throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. He also provides bass and tapping tutorials through bassguitar.com. In addition to teaching, Kai regularly performs with various jazz, progressive metal, rock, pop, and electronic music projects. His recordings can be heard on film (Resident Evil) and television (NCIS). When he is not on tour, Kai lives in Los Angeles where he works as a producer/programmer.
