It's finally here! Our long-awaited album, Imagined Overtures, is now available in limited edition. This second release from the octet bookends re-imagined masterpieces with two premiere recordings of new music. The album begins with Peter Yates' "G-String Fetish," a spasmodic frenzy of notes that slowly unravel onto the guitar's open G-string. Concluding with Frank J. Oteri's microtonal suite, Imagined Overtures, all eight guitars re-tune sixth-tones apart to create surprisingly vibrant sonorities. Four centuries of music illustrate how the group balances adapting the old and advancing the new.
Only 150 CDs were printed featuring hand silk-screened artwork by LA artist Josh Nimoy. These will be sold exclusively at our shows and through our website ($20 plus s+h). All proceeds will go towards the printing of our third album which will feature music from the "Interlocking Textures" program.
Imagined Overtures will also be available digitally through all major distributors in mid-May.
